Job Description

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in the preparation of regulatory reports, ensuring all financial regulatory requirements are met accurately and in a timely manner.

You will be an integral part of the Regulatory Returns team, proactively responsible for ensuring the continual and robust delivery of regulatory returns across both established and emerging markets.

A large part of the role will require you to assist in the delivery of a wide range of returns for the Australian market, to ensure all statutory and operational requirements for Taxes, Levies, and ad hoc requests are fulfilled.

Regulatory requirements are constantly evolving, making this a brilliant opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail who can manage workload effectively and navigate evolving compliance demands.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Qualifications
  • Studying towards AAT would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Self-motivated and looks to make continuous improvements to processes.
  • Experience working with high volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in Excel functions.
  • Proactive and organised, with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of the gambling industry and interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

  • Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly regulatory reporting.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing Duties, Taxes, and Levies.
  • Assisting in the completion of any required audits.
