About the role:

As the Delivery Center Head in Plano, TX, you will serve as the business leader and operational head for one of Cognizant’s major US Delivery Centers (DCs). This role is pivotal in driving the center’s vision, promoting its capabilities internally and externally, and ensuring operational excellence. You will oversee delivery governance, talent management, and infrastructure strategy while actively engaging with local communities, industry bodies, and government agencies. Success in this role means positioning the center as a hub of innovation and excellence, supporting client growth, and fostering a strong sense of pride among associates.


In this role you will:

  • Strategic Leadership & Visibility
    • Drive the vision and growth strategy for the DC, building a strong sense of center identity and pride.
    • Represent Cognizant in local business chambers and government agencies, industry or academic bodies, and community forums.
    • Articulate and position the center’s capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support outreach programs and Cognizant Foundation initiatives.
    • Create brand awareness and enhance Cognizant’s reputation in the region.
  • Business Support
    • Support Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and deal pursuits in collaboration with client teams.
    • Host client visits and ensure a positive experience aligned with Cognizant’s brand.
    • Support audits and certifications for compliance and delivery excellence.
  • Delivery Governance & Capability Building
    • Oversee delivery performance in partnership with Industry Service Line (ISL) leaders.
    • Facilitate sharing of best practices across business units at the center.
    • Enable development of new service offerings and expansion of existing capabilities.
    • Ensure adequate staffing and delivery excellence for all services provided by the center.
  • Talent Management
    • Lead workforce planning, sourcing, enablement, engagement, and deployment for the center.
    • Collaborate with central operations, recruitment, service lines, and market units.
    • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and foster Cognizant culture.
    • Build relationships with academia, training partners, and local talent networks.
  • Facilities & Infrastructure Management
    • Oversee daily operations of the campus hub, including workspace allocation, seating plans, and equipment provisioning.
    • Manage badging and access control processes for all campus hires, staff, and visitors.
    • Ensure training rooms and collaboration spaces are properly configured and maintained for cohort activities.
    • Coordinate with vendors, security, and building management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building regulations, and Cognizant’s workplace policies.
    • Serve as the point of contact for emergency procedures and incident reporting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with Campus Project Managers, HR, IT, and Corporate Services to align facilities support with program needs.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership on space planning, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Operations
    • Own DC budget and infrastructure planning.
    • Partner with Real Estate team on infrastructure strategy and expansion.
    • Ensure compliance with business continuity policies.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in business operations, delivery governance, or facilities management within a large enterprise or consulting environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business delivery, promote the center, engage with the community, source talent, meet business unit needs and demands, and manage the cost and operations of the facility.
