<strong>Summary<br><br></strong>Lidl US is searching for the next <strong>Food Promotions Analyst</strong> to join our Domestic Planning team! The Food Promotions Analyst is is responsible for supporting the managers with tasks to profitably plan for all weekly and seasonal food promotions, based on market analysis and company objectives.<br><br><ul><li> PLEASE NOTE: This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA, and follows a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in-office. **<br><br></li></ul>What You’ll Do<br><br><strong>Essential Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li> Manages projects, work processes, systems, and/or procedures to ensure efficient workflow</li><li> Update guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials</li><li> Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement</li><li> Support in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical improvements</li><li> Prepare promotional market analysis and propose new promotional products and strategy initiatives for assigned categories</li><li> Analyze past sales to adapt and improve for future planning</li><li> Prepare weekly market pricing research for promotional items</li><li> Accurately maintain item planning and the promotional planning system (APT)</li><li> Collaborate cross functionally with supply chain, marketing, purchasing buying, and purchasing administration departments to troubleshoot potential issues and ensure deadlines are met</li><li> Monitor new product development timelines to ensure items can be planned for desired weeks</li><li> Coordination with purchasing buying team on domestic items as part of seasonal assortment and promotions<br><br></li></ul>What You’ll Need<br><br><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines</li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li> Excellent organizational and time management skills</li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li> Ability to work independently with excellent follow-through skills</li><li> Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software</li><li> Knowledge of the competitive landscape and market strategies for grocery promotions<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in retail/supply chain or a related field</li><li> 1-3 years of experience in a related field<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> Merchandise planning experience</li><li> Data analytics experience<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Job Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li> Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li> Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times<br><br></li></ul>What You’ll Receive<br><br>At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
