Material Flow Specialist, Battery Sorting

Founded in 2017,</strong><strong> we're delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.<br><br></strong>The Sorting Specialist is a hands-on role supporting battery sorting operations at USA Parkway facility, located just east of Reno, NV. This position plays a key role in keeping production running smoothly by moving materials, receiving deliveries, and preparing finished items for shipment.<br><br>In this role, you will work directly on the battery sorting line, handling materials as they move into, through, and out of automated sorting equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities will include:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Handle, move, and sort live batteries and associated packaging using forklifts and other material-handling equipment</li><li>Operate and support automated sorting equipment by feeding materials, monitoring performance, making routine adjustments, and escalating issues as needed</li><li>Ability to comply with all safety and PPE requirements, including wearing a fitted respirator for the full shift</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area<br><br></li></ul><strong>Desired Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Prior work in a warehouse or around continuously operating equipment is preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on safe work practices</li><li>Ability to accurately identify and sort materials while performing repetitive tasks with consistency</li><li>Forklift experience strongly preferred</li><li>Demonstrated compliance with written and verbal instructions</li><li>Strong commitment to safety and following PPE requirements, including respirator use while working.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Shift: Monday-Friday Days<br><br></strong><strong>Physical Requirements:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Complete a respiratory fit test and medical evaluation and wear a fitted respirator for the full shift</li><li>Stand for extended periods (more than 80% of the shift)</li><li>Climb stairs and ladders and work at heights</li><li>Stoop, bend, push, pull and perform repetitive physical tasks</li><li>Operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery</li><li>Lift and carry up to 50 lb<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Conditions:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Role includes work in indoor and outdoor environments</li><li>Exposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures, including heat and cold</li><li>May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs<br><br></li></ul>The position is full-time.
