Technical Solutions Executive, Construction, Southeast US (Remote)

About the position

As a Territory Technical Solutions Executive (TSE), we are one of the main factors of success for Worldwide Construction Sales. Our mission is to transform the construction industry. You will partner with AMER Territory Sales Executives to increase revenue by proving our customer's challenges can be met by the Autodesk platform. Coming from the AEC industry, you will use your experience to connect with our customers, identify and uncover their needs, develop a strategy, and prove value. Your goal is to gain a clear understanding of a customer's environment, challenges, and requirements and help achieve their goals using the Autodesk platform. You will also develop long-term partnerships within your accounts and your internal extended team members, all while being a part of a fun-loving technical sales organization. This is remote role. You will need to be located in the Eastern half of the United States. You will report to the manager of technical sales.

Responsibilities

  • Work with AMER Territory Sales Executives to close new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Work within a team environment consisting of the entire Autodesk account team.
  • Use standard sales methodologies and participate in account QBRs and executive briefings.
  • Develop a technical expansion plan to meet Autodesk's revenue goals for Territory customers according to identified customer business initiatives.
  • Develop an achievable strategy to prove that the Autodesk Construction Cloud can deliver the technical requirements needed to satisfy the customer's positive outcomes.
  • Gain knowledge of your customer's business processes, workflows, and technical requirements to establish trusted advisor relationships.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between the pre-sales and adoption/deployment teams.
  • Collaborate with customers and account executives to secure business and technical closure of solutions within Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Develop a sales territory, attracting and driving new business following a strategic territory plan.
  • Manage technical evaluations, defining solutions architecture, facilitating product demonstrations, and consulting with account executives.
  • Provide guidance to customers on strategic product issues to maximize satisfaction and revenue.
  • Document quantifiable pain points, decision criteria, and metrics in Salesforce and other software.
  • Participate in technical discovery with aligned sales account executives based on opportunity size or complexity.
  • Collaborate with global territory sales to position Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions for favorable customer outcomes.
  • Work with partnerships and technical services teams on integrations for custom workflows through discovery with sales and the customer.
  • Build relationships with the sales team and collaborate with multiple business resources.
  • Coordinate with deployment teams, marketing, and product 'centers of excellence' to implement solutions and ensure customer satisfaction and business closure.
  • Share best practices, competitive information, and expertise within the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for strategic speaking engagements.
  • Mentor new TSEs, lead sessions internally to address goals, and conduct product strategy workshops.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
  • Foreman, Project Manager, Superintendent or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with SaaS Technology and Sales.
  • A technology expert who can easily distill complex workflows / solutions for several AEC audiences.
  • Up to 30% travel for customer onsite meetings, and internal ADSK meetings.
