Position Summary

The Pre-K Coordinator leads the Early Years program, ensuring that foundational learning experiences align with international standards and prepare students for a smooth transition into the Cambridge learning pathway. The role focuses on curriculum implementation, teacher mentoring, child development monitoring, and strong parent engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Academic Oversight

  • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate Early Years curriculum aligned with international best practices.
  • Ensure readiness skills that support progression into the Cambridge Primary and IGCSE pathway.
  • Monitor student developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
  • Guide teachers in planning engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.

Teacher Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor Pre-Primary teachers.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Organize training sessions aligned with international early childhood education standards.

Student Development & Environment

  • Ensure classrooms are safe, stimulating, and child centred.
  • Promote social-emotional development and positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Encourage play-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven learning.

Parent Engagement

  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding developmental progress.
  • Conduct parent orientations, workshops, and regular review meetings.

Program Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Early Years section.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
  • Relevant experience in early years coordination or leadership.
  • Strong understanding of international early childhood frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for foundational learning and child development.
