Role Overview

We are hiring a Jira Developer with strong Atlassian Cloud expertise and deep hands-on coding experience. This is a developer-first role focused on building custom Jira extensions, Forge apps, automation logic, integrations, and data pipelines.

You will design and implement scalable, event-driven solutions that extend Jira beyond native capabilities to support complex workflows, system integrations, reporting, and development traceability across MultiBank Group’s technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Atlassian App Development (Forge)

  • Design, build, and maintain custom Atlassian apps using Forge.
  • Develop Forge UI modules, custom fields, panels, workflow extensions, and triggers.
  • Implement Forge functions using JavaScript / TypeScript, including async execution and event handling.
  • Manage Forge storage, permissions, environments, and deployments.
  • Ensure security, performance, and scalability standards are met.

Jira Development & Scripting

  • Develop advanced Jira extensions using ScriptRunner (Groovy).
  • Build custom listeners, scripted fields, REST endpoints, and workflow logic.
  • Extend Jira Software and Jira Service Management programmatically.

Automation & Event-Driven Logic

  • Build advanced Jira automations using JSON, smart values, branching logic, and conditions.
  • Design event-driven workflows combining Forge, automation rules, webhooks, and external services.
  • Optimize execution paths to improve performance and reduce duplication.

Integrations & APIs

  • Design and implement integrations using Atlassian REST APIs, Forge APIs, and webhooks.
  • Build resilient, bidirectional integrations with platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Freshdesk, and internal systems.
  • Handle authentication, payload transformation, retries, and error handling.

Version Control & DevOps Integrations

  • Integrate Jira with Git-based platforms to enable end-to-end traceability.
  • Link commits, branches, pull requests, and deployments to Jira issues.
  • Consume VCS webhooks and APIs to synchronize development events.
  • Support development metrics derived from repositories and CI/CD pipelines.

Reporting, Data & Insights

  • Extend Jira reporting through API-driven data extraction.
  • Build custom reporting pipelines, dashboards, and analytics integrations.
  • Implement calculated metrics using Jira + development data.
  • Use tools such as EazyBI, BI platforms, or custom reporting services.

Service Management Extensions

  • Extend service workflows, SLAs, and escalation logic through code and automation.
  • Integrate Opsgenie for alerting, escalation, and on-call workflows.
  • Implement ITIL-aligned processes programmatically.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Produce technical documentation for Forge apps, scripts, APIs, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Support platform evolution through refactoring and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Jira development experience
  • Strong Atlassian Cloud expertise
  • Proven experience building Atlassian apps using Forge
  • Deep understanding of Jira Software and Jira Service Management internals
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems
  • Experience integrating Jira with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Advanced Jira Automation experience using JSON and smart values
  • Experience designing API-based reporting and data integrations
  • Strong system design, debugging, and documentation skills
  • Solid understanding of Agile and ITIL concepts
  • Experience building Marketplace-ready Atlassian apps
