Senior Public Relations Officer

Job Summary

The Senior Public Relations Officer is responsible to ensure that the Company complies with the requirements of Qatar Government Law and Regulations. The role will handle over-all public relations activities of the organization and its employees and keep the organization abreast of the changes in the rules and procedures. PRO will have a prominent role in building strong relationships with main governmental bodies while acting as ambassador for the Company





Job Responsibilities 1

Process, submit and follow up all the Company official relations/ transactions with the government sectors. 



Liaise with authorities to ensure Company compliance to local laws and regulations



Prepare all documents/correspondence to various government offices in professional manner.



Update and communicate all new laws, amendments or changes in legislation or current affairs issued by the government of Qatar.



Ensure timely processing of all pertinent documents in reference to the criteria of various government agencies (Immigration office, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Medical Commission, Hamad) in compliance with the laws and regulations. 



Process all applications for employment visa, business visa, working  visa and other related documents.



Keep the track of all requests such as New RPs for new employees, Renewal of RPs, cancellations of RPs, Work Permit /Exit Permit, Finger print, Transfer of Sponsorship, Visas and renewal of Company documents  to ensure that legal documentation of employees is accomplished efficiently.



Oversees the issues in Immigration such as resident permit applications, RP renewals, transfer of sponsorship, medical examinations schedules,  health card, and work permits of employees



Maintain confidentiality of records and filing of relevant documents to ensure effective and efficient retrieval of information.



Communicate all new/amendment of the laws or rules issued by the Government including review of prices and update concerned personnel accordingly. 



Keep abreast with changes in Qatar Legislation and Current Affairs, Qatar Labor Law, and Qatar Immigration Procedures and Policies



Maintain absolute confidentiality of records.



Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

Advanced knowledge of Qatar Authorities' laws and procedures related to Immigration, Labor, Customs, Municipality



Extensive knowledge of public relations strategies, media relations, and communication techniques to effectively manage public perception and reputation.



Strong writing and editing skills to create compelling press releases, speeches, and other communications materials for media distribution.



Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities to establish and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and the public.



Crisis management skills to anticipate and respond to potential public relations challenges, ensuring timely and appropriate communication.



Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop and implement PR campaigns that align with organizational goals and objectives.



ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.




Job Experience
