Senior Security Engineer - CyberArk & NGFW

Help AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer with strong expertise in the CyberArk Privileged Access Management and Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto and FortiGate) to configure and manage the secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise security solutions. The role requires hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and architecture experience in large, complex environments, supporting both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for managed security control clients, offering expert guidance and support.
  • Deploy, and manage CyberArk PAM components including Digital Vault, PVWA, CPM and PSM.
  • Integrate CyberArk with Active Directory, LDAP, and MFA solutions.
  • Implement password rotation, access policies, and session monitoring
  • Onboard privileged accounts for Windows, Linux/Unix, Network & Security devices, Databases and applications.
  • Implement, and maintain Palo Alto and Fortigate Firewalls with HA and Layer7 Security features including policies review and optimization.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SSL/IPsec VPN configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Handle firewall migrations, upgrades and configuration backups
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the incident response team.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to validate the security controls and compliance of managed clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and managed clients to integrate security measures seamlessly into their environments.
  • Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting, configuration adjustments, and optimization of security tools.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices to proactively address potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to security configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new security technologies and tools to enhance our managed services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Should have at least 6+ years demonstrable industry experience.
  • Should have expert and in-depth knowledge in enterprise security with CyberArk PAM, Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS.
  • Solid understanding of Digital Vault, PVWA, CPM, PSM (connectors and plugins).
  • Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, Fortinet-NSE, Sentry and Defender certifications are a plus.
  • Additional certification such as CDE-PAM.
  • Should have solid understanding of Network Security technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Should have demonstrable experience of working in extreme pressure and customer facing environments.
  • Should have Security Operations experience.
  • Should have fair understanding of ITIL change management, problem management and incident management.
  • Should have experience to work with strict SLA's.
  • Experience in incident response, security assessments, and compliance audits for managed environments.
  • Self-motivated and have a professional attitude.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Must possess good decision-making skills, be very organized and detail oriented.
  • Skills in handling technical conflicts, organizational challenges, planning and implementation challenges.
